Magway Region sees 12 more covid-19 cases

Magway Region recorded 12 more virus cases on Tuesday, raising the total number of virus cases to 2,517, according to figure updated by the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The virus patients on December 31 were from Ngaphe, Yesagyo, Pakkoku, and Aunglan Townships.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. Meanwhile, 332 virus patients are being treated at various hospitals in the region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.


Magway Region recorded 2,517 confirmed virus cases in total, with 2,188 patients discharging from hospital and six fatalities.
