Malaysia reports 1,867 new COVID-19 infections, 4 more deaths

Malaysia reported 1,867 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Thursday, bringing the national total to 4,838,872, according to the health ministry.

 

There are four new imported cases, with 1,863 cases being local transmissions, data released by the ministry showed.

 

Another four deaths have been reported, pushing the death toll to 36,369.

 

The ministry reported 1,402 new recoveries, lifting the total number of cured and discharged to 4,777,329.

 

There are 25,174 active cases, with 43 being held in intensive care and 24 of those in need of assisted breathing.
