A man died when a train struck a motorcycle he was on, according to a source from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

The accident between the train and motorcycle occurred at about 10:45 p.m. on 3 April near a level junction between Musoechon and Shwebo railway stations near mileposts 443/6 and 443/7 in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region.

 

The unidentified motorcyclist hit the train while he was crossing the level junction.

 

He was pronounced dead on arrival at a public hospital in Shwebo about 45 minutes later. An investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
