Mandalay region sees USD 445.636 million from foreign investment, said Regional Minister for Planning and Finance U Myo Thit at the meeting of four main pillars.

Mandalay earned a total of USD 445.636 from foreign investment in seven countries until June 2018-2019 FY. Among all foreign investment during the present government, 64.97 percent of the investment is in Mandalay region, he added.

The local investment amount is K 172 billion and 63.78 percent of all investment. The increase of investment also raises GDP per person in the region. In 2017-2018 FY, GDP per person is K 1,583,266. In 2018-2019 FY, it is expected that GDP per person will rise up to K 1,779,312.
