Hlaingbwe, 11 December

Myanmar Health Assistant Association and Department of Health from Hlaingbwe Township jointly conducted facial masks campaign in commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities which falls on 3 December in Hlaingbwe, Kayin State this morning.

As part of efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Khin Cho, the township Administrator U Min Thein, staff from the township Department of Health and Information and Public Relations Department, Myanmar Police Force and Myanmar Health Assistant Association distributed face masks, hand gel and brochures about COVID-19 to local people free of charge.

Local officials also erected the posters featuring the risks of deadly virus at crowded places which was held under the theme of IDPD in 2020: “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”.
