Staff from the township Department of Livestock, Breeding and Veterinary (LBVD) under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation conducted a mass immunization campaign against rabies at its office in Myothit Ward in Kawhmu Township, Yangon Region this morning.

Dr. Soe Naing and medical staff from the Township LBVD injected domestic dogs and cats with vaccination against rabies free of charge under the global strategic plan to prevent human deaths from dog-transmitted rabies by 2030.

Staff from the township LBVD will continue to inject the remaining dogs and cats in the township, according to the office of the Township LBVD.
