THE 2026 matriculation examination and the 2026 industrial, agricultural and livestock matriculation examinations continued yesterday morning nationwide, including at overseas examination centres, according to reports.
For the 2026 matriculation examination, a total of 887 examination centres were opened this year, comprising 16 overseas centres and 871 domestic centres. A total of 268,753 candidates registered for the examination. On the second day, 254,946 candidates sat the English subject, while 13,807 candidates were absent, resulting in an attendance rate of 94.86 per cent.
For the 2026 industrial, agricultural and livestock matriculation examinations, a total of 53 domestic examination centres were opened. Altogether 3,386 candidates registered for the examinations. On the second day, industrial students sat the English subject, agricultural students sat Crop Production 1, and livestock students sat the Poultry Production subject. A total of 3,364 candidates sat the examinations, while 22 candidates were absent, giving an attendance rate of 99.35 per cent, according to the Ministry of Education. — MNA/MKKS
