MCDC offers tax-free construction permits for water play, entertainment, and charity pavilions

The Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC) has announced the provision of tax-free access for the construction of water play, entertainment, and Satuditha (charity feast) pavilions. Applications for constructing these pavilions must be submitted to the MCDC by 10 April.

This year’s Mandalay Maha Thingyan Festival will feature water play pavilions, entertainment pavilions, and Satuditha pavilions, along with walking Thingyan festivities around the moat, downtown, and along the strand road.

The festival will take place at various locations, including the southern moat (26th Street, from 66th Street to 78th Street), featuring walking Thingyan and large entertainment pavilions; the eastern Moat (66th Street, from 19th Street to 26th Street), with water play pavilions and large entertainment pavilions; the western Moat (80th Street, from 26th Street to 12th Street), which will also host water play pavilions and large entertainment pavilions, along with the west moat (80th Street and 12th Street) featuring a fun water play pavilion and water pumps.

Additionally, festivities will be held in front of Mingala Mandalay, with walking Thingyan and entertainment pavilions; at the Zaychothu water pavilion near the clock tower of the Mandalay Zaygyo Market; and along the strand road (from 26th Street to 35th Street), featuring water play pavilions and entertainment pavilions. — TWA/MKKS
