THE Technology Development Committee of the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation will conduct a carpenter training course in southern Shan State’s Nyaungshwe Township to conserve the traditional stilt houses of the Inlay region.
Organized by the committee, the ceremony of the course curriculum introduction was held in Nyaungshwe on 19 January, said MCEF. The training of trainers (TOT) course, scheduled from 20 to 30 January, will accept 20 trainees, and after it, on-the-job training will continue for 100 trainees as the cascade model.
MCEF joint general secretary, the Technology Development Committee secretary and programme manager U Aye Lin gave a presentation about the training, and U Than Htike Aung from Swiss Contact and U Bhone Kyaw and U Myo Nyunt from Mya Nan Dar Consultant Team introduced the course curriculum.
The committee also organized a mason training of trainers in Mandalay, which started on 7 January and concluded on 17 January after completing teaching techniques, methods, assignments, construction safety, site survey, knowledge sharing, practical assessment, exam and feedback collection, said MCEF. — MT/ZS
