An event to donate medical equipment for containing coronavirus was held at the meeting room of people’s hospital in the town of Nongnai, Leng Khay District, Shan State yesterday.

As part of efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, Commander of the Eastern Central Command Maj-Gen. Than Hlaing and members donated a portable suction machine, 250 surgical gowns, 250 face shields, 2750 surgical masks, 250 surgical caps, 20 liters of sodium hypochlorite liquid to Mongnai hospital.

The donations were accepted by the Township Administrator U Soe Htut and the township medical superintended Dr. Zin Mi Han.

In addition, Maj-Gen. Than Hlaing and members donated nutritious food such as eggs and tea to staff of the hospital and patients.—Myo Nyunt Shwe(Mongnai), IPRD
