A ceremony to provide cash assistance to members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization was held at the Conference hall of Headquarters of Myanmar War Veterans Organization in Nay Pyi Taw this morning.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization Lieutenant-General Sein Win (Retd) said that in the past, members of war veterans aged 75 and above were furnished with cash aid at the rate of K 50000 per person. Starting from the 2023-2024 financial year, the age of war veterans members who are eligible to receive cash assistance is increased to persons aged 80 and above.

Afterwards, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Myanmar War Veterans Organization Lt-Gen Sein Win (Retd) handed over K. 239.05 million to Colonel Yu Lwin, chairman of Nay Pyi Taw War Veterans Supervisory Committee. Next, a member of Myanmar War Veterans Organization spoke words of thanks to officials.

Under this cash assistance program, a total of 4781 members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization received K 50000 each.—MNA
