ARTIST MPP Ye Myint’s ‘Memorable Yadanabon’ art exhibition will be held from 1 to 3 December at the Siripaccaya Art Gallery in Pyigyitagun Township, Mandalay.

 

In the art exhibition, the ancient Mandalay im­ages and reflections created by the artist MPP Ye Myint will be shown in a series as a remembrance of ancient Mandalay.

 

“Art exhibition will be held from 1 to 3 December at the Siripaccaya Art Gallery in Pyigyitagun Town­ship. The title is Missing Yadanapon. There are 27 paintings in total. All are his Mandalay series about Yadanabon, including Shwe Man Tin Maung theatre and Liberty Anyeint (non-dramatic performance). It is about memorable images of ancient Mandalay such as the clock tower and buffaloes working at the jetty. Paintings will be shown in series,” said Ko Hla Myo, the owner of Siripaccaya Art Gallery.

 

Anyone can visit the art exhibition for free and paintings will be sold from 9 am to 5 pm.

The artist MPP Ye Myint has participated in hun­dreds of exhibitions, among which there were more than 30 solo exhibitions and this will be the first to show only the paintings of the Yadanabon era.

 

“Paintings will be sold. The gallery’s opening time is 10 am to 5 pm. But this exhibition will be open for three days from 9 am to 5 pm. The museums in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore are collecting his paintings. There are hundreds of his exhibitions. He has had more than 30 solo exhibitions.
