Yangon United is set to play against Shan United at YUSC artificial pitch in Yangon at 3:30 p.m. on 5 January 2020 for the annual Myanmar Football Federation’s Charity Cup, according to the MFF.
Traditionally, the match which heralds the start of the domestic football season must be played by the Myanmar National League champion and the winner of the knock-out General Aung San Shield. But Yangon United was crowned the 2019 General Aung San Shield while Shan United was the Myanmar National League champion last year.
The match will be held in conjunction with entertainment programmes and ticket prices are set at Ks. 1,000 and Ks. 2,000. Proceeds from the charity match will go to philanthropic centers.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
