THE Myanmar Golf Fed­eration (MGF) has an­nounced that the MGF President’s Cup 2026 for amateur and senior golf­ers will be held in Yangon over four days in early Au­gust.

 

Organized by the MGF, with primary spon­sorship from SAE PAING Development Ltd and Phyo Si Thu Teak Plan­tation (Myanmar), the tournament will take place from 3 to 6 August at the Yangon Golf Club (Danyingon).

 

Men’s amateur cat­egory is open to players with a handicap of 0 to 12. Men’s senior amateur is open to players with a handicap of 0 to 18, cate­gorized into age groups: 55-60, 61-65 and 66-75.

 

The tournament will be conducted in accord­ance with the Rules of Golf 2023 prescribed by the R&A Rules Limited and the United States Golf Association (USGA), alongside local tourna­ment rules. The registra­tion deadline is 1 August, by 2:00 pm. The entry fee is 30,000 kyats per person. Interested participants can register by calling 09-421002259. Players who have previously reg­istered are also required to reconfirm their entries.

 

Amateur partici­pants must submit their World Handicap System (WHS) Handicap Index Card (recognized by the MGF) and a Handicap Certificate issued by their respective member golf clubs. — MT/ZN
