Mrauk-U 14 August

A midwifery course is being run by the township public health department at the meeting hall of the District Public Health Department this morning in Mrauk–U township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state. 

A total of five course instructors led by Dr Khin Maung Yin, head of the township public health department have been giving practical and theoretical lectures to the trainees. The six-month course that will run till February 2, 2020, is being attended by 20 midwives in the township. 

The course is aimed at reducing the mortality rate of pregnant women and children under five in villages beyond the reach of health staff of the department.—District IPRD
