An expectant mother has been airlifted to a military hospital by a military helicopter to help the pregnant woman give birth a new baby.

The military helicopter was transporting 300 gallons of fuel to be used for the heavy machinery to construct the Magwayza-Khaunglanphu Road in Putao District on 20 May. The 65-mile-and-4-furlong long road is being built by the Ministry of Border Affairs in the far-flung area. A pregnant woman named Daw Ngarzar Zamiram from Ward-1, Khaunglanphu Town had a health problem as she couldn’t give birth her baby.

She asked for help from the Tatmadaw to bring her to a military hospital by the helicopter. The military helicopter took the expectant mother to the military hospital where she gave birth her new baby weighing 8 lb. and 8 ounces.—Naw Yaw Baw (Putao)
