THE Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (MMPO) offered alms to the monks and nuns at Alodawpyae Monastery as part of the consecration ceremony of the North Guni Pagoda in the Bagan Ancient Cultural Zone on 15 March.
The MMPO, which renovated the pagoda located southeast of the old city of Bagan and southwest of the Dhammayangyi Temple, organizes a consecration ceremony every year. The pagoda was built by Queen Pwa Saw around 1241 AD during the reign of King Narathihapate. — ASH/TH
