STATE Administration Council Member Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, accompanied by officials, inspected the completed measurement of the original Kalaw Creek land area, affected by a natural disaster, near Kalaw railway station, in Kalaw Township on 5 February.
The Union minister and party observed the construction of the nine feet high retaining walls by Kalaw Chaung, Typhoon Yagi-hit Yayayekan water pipeline maintenance, road maintenance to Yayayekan and the embankment approach road, damage in the Mawmyay Oo garden due to Typhoon Yagi, and recorded photos of rehabilitation processes.
He then met district-level officials at the Kalaw District General Administration Department.
Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae also inspected the drainage excavation processes for water flows after the blockage of water outlets in the gully due to a natural disaster in Shweminphone village. — MNA/KTZH
