No reports of damages or casualties were reported following a moderate earthquake which was recorded at 9:54 am today, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter Scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar, jolted at latitude 18.46°N, longitude 94.59°E, with depth 8 kilometers, about 15 miles east of Thandwe Town and about 160 miles south of the Sittway seismological observatory, the DMH said.—DMH
