A ceremony to donate modified stoves to local residents from Aung Yadanar and Aung Zayar village-tracts in Nattalin Township, Bago region was held at a monastery in Aung Zayar village yesterday morning.

The stoves were jointly developed by Department of Agriculture and Korea Climate Change Center. At the ceremony, MP U Kyaw Kyaw Naing of the regional Hluttaw gave opening remarks. Then, U Myo Thu, the head of the township Agriculture Department explained the aim of the donation.

Then, a farmer, acting on behalf of local residents, spoke words of thanks. After that, officials handed over 5700 stoves to 5700 households.—Tin Myint (Nattalin)
