THE  Ministry  of  Education’s  headquarters  and  the  Yangon  University  of  Economics  jointly  conduct  the  two-year  programmes  for  master’s  degree  of  business  administration  and  public administration.


The  Executive  Master  of  Business Administration and the Executive Master of Public Ad-ministration are aimed for senior officers from state departments, INGOs, NGOs and private firms to  get  knowledge  about  public  management and public policies for their works.


Union  Minister  for  Education Dr Myo Thein Gyi delivered a speech at the opening ceremony  of  these  programmes  held  at  the  meeting  hall  of  Higher  Education  Department  in  Nay  Pyi Taw. 


He said that management is an important subject in both public  and  private  sectors  to  meet  with  the  developing  economic  system. 


The  programmes  will  include,  in  addition  to  the  lectures,  individual  assignments,  presentations,  group  works,  group  assignments  and  group  presentations  which  can  build  up individual skills, and improve unity among the colleagues, co-operation,  sharing  duties,  accountability and responsibilities. 


Rector of YUEco Dr Tin Win made  a  welcoming  speech  be-fore  former  students  of  EMPA  programme  extended  greeting  and a fresher student expressed thanks for the programmes.


The EMPA programme will be attended by 47 students, and the 49 enrolled for EMBA.  The opening ceremony of these programmes were also attended by Deputy Minister for Education U Win  Maw  Tun,  Member  of  Nay  Pyi Taw Council U Tin Tun, Deputy Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw U Ye Min Oo and officials.
