Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun separately received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Vinay Ku­mar and Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visit­stump at the ministry yester­day afternoon.

In meeting with the In­dian ambassador, they dis­cussed cooperation in electric power sector between the two countries, cross-border power line measures and capacity building of employees.

The Union minister also talked with the Thai ambas­sador to Myanmar about co­operation in electric power sector between Myanmar and Thailand and the issue of the cross-border power line pro­ject.

In the morning, the open­ing ceremony for the Junior Engineer-2 refresher course No 2 was held at the Central Training School of the Minis­try of Electric Power in Nay Pyi Taw.

The two-week junior engineer refresher course comprises subjects on con­trolling the power stations, maintenance and generators. — MNA/KZW
