Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe met heads and charge d’affaires of Myanmar Embassies and Permanent Representative Offices in the America Zone, Europe Zone, Middle East and Africa Zone via videoconferencing yesterday.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union minister said the heads of embassies should work hard for the interests of the country and people despite the challenges in serving duties. They should focus on covering true information while eradicating the misinformation of insurgent media outlets. They should carry out the tasks openly based on the truth without damaging friendly relations.

He also pointed out the need to have loyalty to the country by following the rules and regulations of the civil servants.

He continued that civil servants should not participate in political affairs. They should not misuse their authority either and should work honestly and have mutual respect among officials of embassies and staff.

He urged all to work in unity and harmony while striving for capacity building.
