MoHA, MPF members, staff donate blood, oxygen equipment in hailing 79th Tatmadaw Day

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Myanmar Police Force and clerical staff donated blood to­gether at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000-bed) and No 2 Tatmadaw Hospital (1,000-bed) yesterday morning as a ges­ture of hailing the 79th Armed Forces Day, which will fall on 27 March 2024.

 

State Administration Council Member Union Min­ister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, Deputy Minister for Home Af­fairs Maj-Gen Toe Yi, Deputy Minister for Health Dr Aye Tun, and officials welcomed blood donors and clerical staff and encouraged and provided them with nutritional supple­ments.

 

Lt-Gen Yar Pyae then do­nated 148 oxygen cylinders and tanks, 155 flow meters, 49 na­sal planes, and 65 face masks worth K50,038,500 to Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000- bed). The Union Minister for Health received and returned the certificate of honour by expressing gratitude for the donation.

 

A total of 121 donated blood yesterday, and 145 police members and clerical staff will continue to donate blood on 21 March in honour of the 79th Armed Forces Day. — MNA/TS
