Union Minister of Information U Maung Maung Ohn participated in a coordination meeting of the Myanmar Digital Media Association organizing committee held at 1 pm on 18 March at the Film Promotion Division of Department of Information and Public Relations, in Bahan Township, Yangon.

During the meeting, the Union minister highlighted the increasing use of digital media, including social media and creative broadcasting in Myanmar, which has become prevalent in society. He emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing the role of digital media, not only for widespread dissemination of information to the public but also for contributing to economic growth. He noted the rapid development of digital media usage in Myanmar in recent years, especially with the proliferation of mobile phones and internet access, leading to a surge in social media usage.
