Accompanied by some local cabinet members, Chief Minister of Mon State Dr Aye Zan supervised developmental tasks in Thaton Township on January 10.
The chief minister and party first inspected construction of a rural road in Daybarei Village and a sluice gate near Okpho Chaung Village and called site in-charges for timely completion of the projects, meeting the set standard and emphasizing the safety of the employees.
The sluice gate will be 12 ft. wide and 12 ft. high and the project is slated for completion in the next financial year. Upon completion, it will benefit 12,000 acres of farmland and the estimated cost for construction of the sluice gate is 5,657 million kyats.
The chief minister and his entourage also looked into construction of an inter-village road, availability of electricity and water supply projects in two villages.
