A new bridge crossing the Mone Creek on Minbu-Pwintbyu-Salin-Tanyang Road in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region is being built with Ks. 3.9 billion and the project is about 95 percent completed.

Construction of the bridge began on 21 May 2017 and is slated to be finished early May, said U Nyunt Lwin, an official from the project site. The bridge measures 1300 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and its motorway is 24 ft. It has a 3 ft. long pedestrian walkway on each side and can withstand up to 60 tons of weight. Previously, the bridge was a bailey type and the new bridge has a two-lane motorway.

The bridge is expected to help facilitate better flow of commodities produced in the region to other parts throughout the country, thereby contributing to improving the livelihood and living standard of the local people and generating job opportunities for them.
