Monsoon agricultural loans have been disbursed to farmers in Lewe Township, Union Territory by the Township Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank since 18 May.
The bank is disbursing agricultural loans in line with rules and regulations and those who have paid back the previous loans are being disbursed agricultural loans for this year. The bank disburses agricultural loans at a rate of K 150,000 per acre of paddy and K 100,000 per acre of other crops. The bank disburses agricultural loans to a farmer for a maximum of 10 acres of farmland with a 5 percent interest rate.
Lewe District Bank has dispensed K 3218.7 million of monsoon agricultural loans to 5447 farmers for 21458 acres of their farmland until 23 July, according to the Bank Manager.
