Kengtung District Myanma Agricultural Development Bank Branch disbursed monsoon agricultural loans to 36 farmers at the meeting hall of General Administration Department in Monghpyak Township, Tachilek  District of Shan State(East) this morning.

 

During the event, Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Nyi Nyi Aung clarified the purposes of the disbursement of the loans for farmers in the Township. Next, U Kyaw Lwin Aung, manager of Kengtung District Myanma Agricultural Development Bank Branch explained rules and regulations of the loans to be abode by the farmers.

 

Under this loans disbursement program, 172 acres of farmland of 36 farmers from Monghpyak, Namhgon, Namhnan, Tawnyo and Hwesho village tracts in the Township received a total of Ks. 25.8 million of monsoon agricultural loans. The bank dispenses the loans at a rate of Ks. 150,000 per acre of paddy fields.  The bank will collect a five per cent interest rate.—Township IPRD
