To support agricultural activities in Kamma Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank has begun disbursing monsoon crop loans for the 2025 planting season across 51 village tracts.
As part of the effort, the bank has distributed Ks 259.5 million in loans to 71 farmers from Natmi Village Tract, covering 173 acres of monsoon paddy. To date, loan disbursements have reached 23 village tracts.
The bank aims to provide a total of Ks 300 million in loans across Kamma Township to support paddy and other seasonal crops. Farmers are receiving Ks 150,000 per acre for monsoon paddy and Ks 100,000 per acre for other crops, such as peanuts and sesame.— Kyaw Zeya Win (Kamma)
