A monsoon tree-planting ceremony was held in the compound of Myoma Police Station in Magyikan Ward, Kawhmu Township, Southern District of Yangon this morning. 

MP Daw Thandar Aye of No.1 Constituency of Regional Hluttaw, Township Administrator U Htet Win, Township Departmental personnel, members of the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association and Women Affairs Committee and local residents planted a total of 300 saplings in the event. 

With the aim to reduce climate change and to preserve the environmental greening, Township Forestry Department is planting different kinds of saplings and distributing the saplings to the respective departments free of charge.
