A fifth group of people has arrived in Tokyo from the Middle East on a plane chartered by the Japanese government to help those stranded in the region amid the rising tensions over Iran.
The plane from Oman carrying 46 people, including Japanese nationals and those of other nationalities, landed at Tokyo's Haneda Airport around 9:20 a.m. on Friday.
The total number of evacuees on Japan's chartered flights now stands at 882.
The passengers who arrived on Friday included four South Koreans. Japan reportedly offered to fly them based on a memorandum signed by the two countries to cooperate in evacuating their nationals from third nations.
The Japanese government has recently chartered two flights from Oman, two from Saudi Arabia and one from the United Arab Emirates.
Japanese officials are currently arranging a sixth flight.
