Mongphyat, 12 June

A motorcyclist died after crashing a power pole this morning. The crash happened at mileposts 710 and 711 on the Tachilek-Mongphyat Road in Mongphyat Township, Shan State at about 6:30 a.m. today.
    

The biker identified as Phyo Ko Ko Oo, 20 years old from Mongphyat was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcyclist struck a utility pole and died on the spot, police learned from witnesses. Action is being taken against the deceased rider over reckless driving by the local police.—IPRD
