In an attempt to create sport tourism in Shan State, a mountain bike challenge was held in Nyaungshwe Towship this morning.
The bike race started from an independence monument. First, Shan State Minister for Inn Ethnic Affairs Dr. Tun Hlaing delivered a speech. Next, the Shan State minister, Shan State Lawmaker U Khin Maung Win, Director of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism U Htin Aung Naing and concerned officials cut a ceremonial ribbon to launch the bike competition.
The event which was organized in Nyaungshwe since 2017 categorized into two types—15 km and 30 km types—and was participated by 980 local amateur cyclists and foreigners.—Nay Myo Thurein
