Myanma Railways (MR) will resume passenger train services from Yangon to Bago and Ye in Mon State today (6 July), according to the MR office in Yangon.


MR’s No 14 RBE down train that departs from Bago Station at 5:35am arrives at the Yangon Central Railway Station at 8:40am, while No.13 up train that departs from Yangon at 5:05pm arrives at the Bago Station at 7:55pm.


MR’s No 81 and No 82 trains that resumed their operations between Yangon and Mawlamyine on 16 June will run to Ye in Mon State starting from 6 July.


No81 up train that leaves from Yangon Central Railway Station at 8:15pm arrives at the Mawlamyine at 6:30am on the following day. The train departs from Mawlamyine at 7am and arrives in Ye at 12:40pm.


No 82 down train that leaves from Ye Station at 2:45pm arrives in Mawlamyine at 8:30pm. The train departs from Mawlamyine at 9pm and arrives in Yangon at 6:45am on the following day.


A train ticket for Yangon-Bago costs K 600, while a ticket of Yangon-Ye route is K 6,450 for upper class and K 3,250 for ordinary class.


The operation of the trains – No141 up train and No 142 down train on Thazi-Nyaungshwe route and No139 up train and No140 down train on Gantgaw Kalay route – will also resume on 6 July.
