A passenger train operating between Seikphyu and Pakokku Townships in Magway Region will suspend railway services during Thingyan period.

The Myanmar Railways is running railway services between Pakkoku and Seikphyu Townships to ensure convenience for local people. The passenger train leaves Pakkoku for Seikphyu at about 5:30 a.m. and returns from Seikphyu to Pakkoku at around 2 p.m. on a daily basis. The train services will be suspended from 14 to 16 April during the water throwing festival. Information about suspension of railway services was posted on the billboards so that Myanmar Railways officials can disseminate about it.
The train services will resume on 17 April on a regular basis, said U Aung Soe, Seikphyu railway station master.—Soe Lin Naing (IPRD)
