An opening ceremony of a multi-purpose hall in Namhoolweka village in Tangyan Township, Lashio District, Shan State (North) was held in the village on May 2.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Township Administration Council gave opening remarks and an official from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the salient points of the construction. Then, Chairman of the funds of the Emerald Green Project spoke words of thanks. 

Then the officials cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the hall which is 70 ft in length, 36 ft in width and 13 ft in height. The construction was conducted with K 13.5 million allocated by interest of the project and K 11 million funded by public with the technical aid of the officials from the Township DRD.
