THE Shwedaung Township Rural Development Department, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, disbursed Mya Sein Yaung project revolving funds totalling K44.3 million to residents at Inpingon Village in Shwedaung Township, Bago Region, yesterday morning.
The project aims to enable rural residents to expand their family income-generating activities and implement village development tasks using the accumulated interest funds. During the ceremony, Shwedaung Township Rural Development Department Head U Aung Khaing Zaw explained the core objectives of the disbursement of the Mya Sein Yaung project.
Subsequently, project officers and staff clarified the project guidelines, interest rates, repayment periods, and regulations. They then transferred the revolving fund of K44.3 million to the members of the village project committees.
Under the field supervision of the Shwedaung Township Rural Development Department, the project committee members then distributed funds at low interest rates directly to 110 villagers from Inpingon and Myaukgon villages who will engage in agriculture, livestock breeding, and trading. — Karyan Cho
