Myanmar has announced a 23-man squad for the AFC U23 Championship qualifiers for 2020 which are set to kick off later this month.

 

 

The White Angels squad was named by Bulgarian Head Coach Velizar Emilov Popov for 2020 AFC U-23 Championship qualification, and the 30th SEA Games, the Myanmar Football Federation said. Myanmar has been drawn next to Japan, Timor-Leste and Macau in the Group-I and all the matches in the group will be held in Myanmar from 22 to 26 March.

 

 

The winning teams in each of the 11 groups will qualify directly for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship to be held in Thailand. Since host Thailand have already qualified, the 5 best second placed teams will qualify for the tournament.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
