THE 31st SEA Games, postponed due to the COVID-19, will resume in May this year, with Myanmar billiards and snooker teams competing in six events.
The Vietnam SEA Games will feature 10 types of event including Billiards, Snooker and Pool.
Team Myanmar will compete in Billiards Individual Tournament, Billiards Doubles’ Tournament, Snooker Individual Tournament, Snooker 6 Red Individual, Pool 9 Ball Individual Tournament and Pool 10 Ball Individual Tournament respectively.
The Myanmar billiards team has been under training at the camp since mid-2021 and has currently selected seven players.
Billiard, Snooker and Pool players are currently taking their special training in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay ahead of the upcoming SEA Games.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Myanmar billiards team has not been able to compete in international competitions since the 2019 Philippine SEA Games, but is working to get full training before the Vietnam SEA Games.
The Myanmar Billiards Team was the most successful Myanmar team in the last 2019 SEA Games, winning two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The gold medals for the Myanmar Billiards team were won individually in the Pool 9 Ball Individual
