According to the office of the labour attaché, Myanmar citizens living in Thailand can obtain a job passport (PJ) by providing concrete evidence if they lose their certificate of identity (CI) and encounter difficulties.

To prevent Myanmar workers from facing difficulties and to enable them to live and work with strong evidence, Myanmar job passports (PJ) were issued on 14 November.

According to the Myanmar Job Passport Unit, applicants can apply at the Temporary Data Collection Centre (TDCC), the Myanmar Job Passport Unit at Mahachai, Thailand, with a copy of the CI, a recommendation letter of the lost CI from the respective Thai police station, and its notarized translation in English. Additionally, applicants need the original recommendation letter from the Myanmar Embassy to Thailand, a work permit, the original citizenship scrutiny card, and a copy of the household list. — TWA / TRKM
