A  Myanmar  delegation  led  by  Union  Minister  for  Social  Wel-fare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye who were in Bue-nos  Aires,  Argentina  attended  the 2nd Global Disability Summit second  day  events  of  covering  equal  rights  and  non-discrimi-nation against persons with dis-abilities, job opportunities with-out  discrimination  for  disabled  women,  children  and  persons,  technology  and  innovation  for  disabled persons and justice for disabled persons.

 


Detailed discussions on pre-venting early childhood disabil-ity  ,  measurement  on  reducing  disability  and  redevelopment  service  matters,  good  practic-es on capacity building disabled women in developing countries, international  experience  on  reserving  positions  to  employ  disabled  persons,  support  and  resolution methods for disabled person where legal support was remote.

 


In  addition  to  this,  repre-sentatives  from  26  countries  attending  the  2nd  Global  Dis-ability  Summit  discussed  em-phatically  on  the  requirement  for earliest provision of rights for disabled  children  since  young,  creating  opportunities  for  disa-bled youngster to raise their life quality,  raising  legal  protection  capacity to provide legal support for  disabled  women  who  were  victims  of  violence  and  abuse,  use  technology  and  innovation  for  disabled  persons  to  provide  their full capacity at work sites, ensure disabled persons acquire justice  and  opportunities,  and  increase  cooperation  between  government, civil society organ-izations  and  organizations  of  disabled to raise knowledge and awareness on disabled persons for  personnel  workings  in  legal  and  judiciary  sectors.  Argenti-na Vice President Mrs. Gabriela Michetti attended a closing cere-mony held afterwards.—MNA (Translated by Zaw Min)
