DEPARTMENT of Fisheries stated that Myanmar conveyed over 400 metric tonnes of shrimp with an estimated value of US$1.58 million in April of the current financial year 2025-2026, beginning 1 April.
Myanmar’s shrimp exports by sea earned over $0.828 million from 323.8 tonnes, while shrimp exports at borders were estimated at $0.725 million from over 140.09 tonnes in April, totalling 463.97 tonnes worth $1.58 million.
Myanmar exports fishery products to 40 international countries, including Japan, Bangladesh, China and Thailand, by sea and through land borders. — NN/KK
