MYANMAR is grouped in Group H alongside Afghanistan and the Maldives in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 qualification lot-drawing event, which took place on 26 June.
The qualifiers will be held from 20 to 24 September, with Myanmar hosting all Group H matches. A total of 31 teams will participate, divided into seven groups of four teams and one group of three.
According to the tournament format, the top team from each of the eight groups, along with the seven best second-placed teams, will qualify for the final tournament, making a total of 15 teams advancing through the qualifiers.
Group A features Kuwait, Australia, Mongolia and India. Group B includes Thailand, South Korea, Bahrain and Brunei. Group C consists of Japan, Tajikistan, Macau and Cambodia. Group D brings together Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei and Pakistan.
Group E includes Vietnam, Lebanon, China and Hong Kong. Group F features Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Timor-Leste and Palestine. Group G comprises Iran, Malaysia, UAE and Bangladesh. Group H includes Myanmar, Afghanistan and the Maldives.
Each group’s matches will be hosted by a selected country: Kuwait (Group A), Thailand (Group B), Tajikistan (Group C), Saudi Arabia (Group D), China (Group E), Kyrgyzstan (Group F), Malaysia (Group G) and Myanmar (Group H). — Ko Nyi Lay/ KZL
