THE Myanmar government places great importance on the well-being of its citizens residing overseas and remains committed to ensuring their safe and timely return in times of difficulty, regardless of the circumstances. To facilitate this, the Myanmar Consulate-General and Embassy work closely with relevant embassies and ministries to coordinate the repatriation process.

As part of these efforts, the Myanmar Consulate-General in Oman collaborated with authorities in Oman to assist in the repatriation of Ma Ei Thanda Aung, a Myanmar national who faced difficulties while working in Oman. She departed in Muscat in Oman at 9:05 am (local time) on 16 February on a Muscat-Bangkok-Yangon flight and arrived in Yangon at 12:15 am on 17 February (local time).
