THE Myanmar men’s national football team left for China yesterday to play a friendly match against the Chinese national team on 30 August, according to the Myanmar Football Federation.
The team will play the friendly match as part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.
Miodrag Radulovic, the head coach of the team, selected 23 final players for the team, before they left for China.
The final list of selected players includes goalkeepers Kyaw Zin Htet, Kyaw Zin Phyo, and Pyae Hlan Aung, and defenders Zaw Min Tun, Soe Moe Kyaw, Zaw Lin, Pyae Phyo Zaw, David Htan, KyawZinLwin, Nanda Kyaw, and Thein Than Win.
The midfielders chosen on the team are Yang Aung Kyaw, Lwin Moe Aung, Hlaing Bo Bo, Mg Mg Lwin, Kyi Lin, Si Thu Aung, Suan Lam Mang, and Kaung Si Thu, while forwards are Kyaw Ko Ko, Aung Thu, Win Naing Soe, and Than Paing.
The team will head to Mongolia from China, and play against Mongolia on 5 September in Group F matches for the World Cup qualification.
Myanmar will also play Group F matches against Kyrgyzstan on 10 October and Japan on 26 March, 2020 for the World Cup qualification. — KyawKhin
