A total of 87 Myanmar illegal migrant workers were repatriated by Thai authorities to their Myanmar counterparts yesterday.
The migrant workers were sent back due to illegal stay without proper document and expiry of cross border pass according to the laws of Thailand.
They were welcomed by officials from the Township General Administration Department, the Labor, Immigration and Population Department, Anti-Human Trafficking Police Force, Departments of Labor and Disaster Management. They were provided with health care services by the Public Health Department before being transported home.
