Myanmar and New Zealand signed an air services agreement on Wednesday in Yangon to operate air services between the two countries.
“Under the agreement signed, airlines from Myanmar and New Zealand may operate air services between the two countries, with liberalized provisions,” said the statement released by Department of Civil Aviation.
The agreement was signed by U Kyaw Myo, Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications and Mr Stephen Marshall, Ambassador of New Zealand to Myanmar.
The signing ceremony held at the DCA in Yangon was also attended by officials from the DCA and the Embassy of New Zealand in Yangon, and representatives from Myanmar National Airlines and Myanmar Airways International.—MNA
