The organizer of the Myanmar’s first-ever robotic competition titled “Myanmar Robo League 2019” is inviting talented students from technological universities and computer studies universities across the country, said an organizer at a news conference yesterday.
Supporting by the Rectors Committee, the competition will be organized by a tech start-up entity namely Makerspace, and the Robo League 2019 will be held at the Arts Hall of University of Yangon in June.
The competition is aimed to promote technology plus mathematics skills and engineering expertise of university students and invited them to participate in the competition in Yangon. The outstanding students will enable their way to compete in the First Global Robotics Challenge in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, said Makerspace’s Manager Ko Htoo Wai Htet.
Altogether five students plus one trainer from each university will be allowed for the competition. Age limit for contestants who will take up in the competition is under 19 year old for students and age limit for the trainer is over 19 year old.
Interested students and trainers can submit their applications on the website link www.bit.ly/mmroboleague. The submitters need to fill their facts along with student identification cards and their photos by 12 April.
After their submission, they must take screening test within the period of 90 minutes for their qualifying into the competition.
The selected students from different universities will be announced on the Facebook page of the Myanmar Makerspace.
