Myanmar selects squad for AFF Women’s Championship in Thailand

THE Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) has selected 26 players for its preliminary list to play at the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Women’s Championship 2019 in Thailand from 15 to 27 August.

The squad contains veteran players, mixed with youth stars, and training will be begin on 11 June, said officials from the MFF.
The goalkeepers are Zar Zar Myint, May Zin Nwe and Khaing Zar Win.

The defenders are Ei Yadnar Phyo, Aye Aye Moe, Wai Wai Aungm Khin Than Wai,Khin Myo Win, Chit Chit, Khaing Thazin,Zin Zin Naing and Phyu Pyu Win.

The midfielders are Nge Nge Htwe, veteran star Khin Malar Tun, Khin Mo Mo Tun, Le Le Hlaing, Thin Thin Yu, Khaing Thazin Oo and May Thu Kyaw

The strikers are Khin Moe Wai, Nu Nu, Ye Ye Oo, veteran star Win Theigi Tun, July Kyaw and youth star Myat Noe Khin.
Myanmar will compete in Group B, together with Cambodia, Indonesia and Viet Nam.

The host Thailand has been placed in Group A, with Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Timor-Leste.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
